Art
The immortalization of self
Andy Warhol might be dead, but the "pop art" movement he helped jumpstart is still alive and kicking. Just ask
artist Jamie Roxx, a pop-art lover and practitioner whose "pop noir" pieces are in high demand. Roxx takes what
Warhol left behind and breathes some life into the movement by offering regular ol' John and Jane Does the chance to have
their mugs turned into works of art. From 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, Roxx will be hanging out at the W Hotel, 421 West
B St., Downtown.
